2006 v-10 another needs help

2006 v-10 another needs help
engine will not rev past idle in park, but when put in gear, its fine. is this normal or is a trip to a dealer neccessary. thanks, really cant afford a new truck but that is the only way i know how to fix anything

The 06s are drive-by-wire are they not? Probably a sensor.
