c6 rebuild
Hey guys, I am going to rebuild a c6 to fit behind my 460. I ordered a rebuild manual for it. Is this something a decent mechanic could undertake? If not I can have it rebuilt, just trying to save some cash. Also, I am looking at buying the master rebuild kit($375) from Performance Transmission and Parts. It includes everything I should need minus the torque converter which I also plan on buying from them ($275). All good quality Red Alto stuff. They say that the Red Alto band is 1/2" wider than the stock band. Any problems here? This is going in a 79 3/4 ton 4x4. What rpm should I request the converter to be? All input is appreciated.
