Hi all, New here 1st post.....Problem is on my 1994.5 7.3-DI, the fuel tank selector goes to "E" on the front tank (Not reading) and works fine, when switched to rear tank.
Any suggestions before I drop the tank to swap the FSU?
Could the fuel tank selector "Switch" be bad?.....What should I diagnose?
Any suggestions welcomed.....really not looking forward to dropping the fuel tank........
You should be able to get to the front tank if you roll the bed back, so no need to drop the tank. Pull the sending unit from the tank and ohm it out while moving the float from empty to full position. If the ohm values change the board is good. I don't recall if you get more or less ohm values while moving the arm, they increase I think. If the float has a hole in it, they can be bought from the dealership. A whole lot cheaper than the complete unit.
