Update
Truck did not want to start again and would only attempt to start when ignition key was being turned from the start position back to the on position, very odd, almost backwards.
I went to local parts store and asked for new ignition and he asked me if I wanted the ignition or the electronics for the ignition. I decided to purchase the electronics for the ignition, since the key turned fine. I replaced the old part with the new and she starts with no issues. I've been starting her evry day to make sure there is no fluke.
The truck does run better now it has new points.
