I am putting a 1980 F150 column in my 37 Ford. Trying to stay all Ford!
Can anybody tell me what the light blue and dark blue and black/purple wires are for. Can't find them on any sites or diagrams I have found. Using an EZ Wiring harness and it is not on there either?
Lightblue comes from the turnsignal flasher and feeds the turnsignal switch.
Power for the horn comes in on the yellow/lightblue, goes through the horn switch, and leaves on the darkblue. This is if you have a column without cruise.
I see a black/pink on a little bit later year diagram, and I think it goes to the key area switch that makes the buzzer buzz if you leave the key in the ignition lock.
Thanks Dave much appreciated. No cruise. I guess it could be black and pink, may be dirty. Will check again tomorrow with sun shining, I hope, pouring rain right now.
Will hook her up as suggested and test it.
Regards, Doug
