Steering Column wiring
I am putting my 64 F250 back together. When I got it, there were some wiring "issues" that the previous owner repaired. The steering column has the following wires:
Orange with blue tracer
Green with white tracer
Solid blue
White with blue tracer
Green with orange tracer
Solid green
Blue with yellow tracer.
There is also a blue with green tracer that is for the horn.
I have the 1964 Ford Truck wiring diagram manual from Jim Olson Reproductions (http://www.autobooksbishko.com/item.cgi?id=11584) that I got when I got the truck last year, but following the diagram in the maunal, the wires coming from the turn signal switch are as follows:
Blue
White-Blue
Green-White
Yellow
Red-Black
Green
I am wondering if the steering column is from another year or if this was some of Ford's mistery wiring.
I would greatly appreciate any help that anyone has. I think the solid blue wire and the solid green wire are power supply when the key is on (turn signals) and the the other one is when the key is off (horn), but not sure which is which.
Thanks!
