Was looking at a 1988 F350 about 30 minutes ago. I was a little disappointed when it said EFI and not DIESEL on the front. Its DRW. So I opened up the hood and I looked at the engine.. the sticker on the intake 5.0.. I thought:
1. Would they put a 5.0 in a F350 Crew cab DRW?
2. I have a 5.0 and it is not this big of an engine.
The size of the head is huge. My 5.0 is no where near the size of this. So I am pretty sure it is a 460 just want a confirmation. The clear coat on the hood in some places is gone. and the bed is white while the rest is a gray with lighter gray stripes and a red stripe. Its a XLT. 3/4 of the wheels have covers.. also the wood in side is faded and some one put an aftermarket radio in and didnt buy an adapter and spliced the factory harness and now is taken out and just the wires left there. Got to hear it run but didnt get to drive it because it was almost out of gas when he got it and he hasn't filled it up yet. $1200.
If I do get it here are some things:
Some of the wood is faded, can I bring it back?
Drivers side rear fender is cracked. I think it bolts on and off. Where could I get a different one?
There was a sticker on the air intake box. It said engine and under it, it said 5.0.
Also on start up there was no smoke from the tail pipe, guess it doesnt eat oil like my 5.0.
