There are literally dozens of donor cars. Look for a Taurus from the 90s with a V6, most will have a 3G configured right. There are lots of others but I can't find the list right now. If you just google 3G conversion, you will find links to other Ford sites where it is detailed. Personally, I just forget the stock amp gauge since it;s junk anyway and install a volt meter. Then you can one wire the 3g. Make sure you get the plug with it and the center wire is a small plug that stays where youi found it. Then loop the yellow and white "A" wire to the hot lead and the hot lead can go with to Batt + (better to go to the solenoid though. They also recommend using the 175 amp mega fuse and 4 gauge wire for the +. I am running an 80 amp circuit breaker because I don't ask much of my 3G. Just what it takes to fire the points. run the lights and fan.

Hio thank for the quick response, now by the picture you posted I understand that you retrofitted the old wire harness to work with the 3g hardness, what about the cable for the battery, did you run the cable from alternator to mega fuse to starter solenoid on battery side.
