Replaced all four corners this morning. Went cheap and bought Monroe Gas Matics ($55 for all four/$50 coupon from Advanceauto). Ride is vastly improved with no vibration at highway speed. All told only took about 1 1/2 hours and that was with me fixing an exhaust rattle in the process.
Didn't have to remove any of the wheels, including the spare. A shot of liquid wrench and some help from a persuader made the job go pretty quickly.
Next up, Fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator , TPS and cooling system flush in the next couple days.
Went ahead and changed the fuel pressure regulator this evening and took the truck for a test run. Much more power and doesn't seem to stumble as much at high speed as before. I checked the vacuum line before replacing the regulator and was getting a strong gas smell. Started to replace the tps but I think it'll be easier in the long run to remove the throttle body to get to it. Should be less stressful anyway.
