Ok this may be the norm, but I'm hearing something like a motor running after i kill my engine? It sounds like a fuel pump or something!!! O ya I have a 2011 6.7. I've had the truck for several months but just now hearing this, Any input would be great... Thanks
Oh, lets see....many noises in my 2012, but the DEF pump starts pumping DEF OUT of the system when you shut it off. I bet if you get out and listen just aft of your fuel door you will hear the pump on the DEF tank. I call it DEF jams. (sick morning humor)
That could be it but the noise is coming from the front of the truck, and I'm just wondering why I havent heard it in the past!!! Could be over worried, nothing has went wrong with the truck yet.... I'm not used to that!!!!!
My favorite noise is the beep when you open or close a door.
We call that one a "meep".
There's a vacuum operated valve on the EGR cooler that makes that high pitched noise and then you hear the valve let go. Open the hood, shut the motor off, run over to the passenger side and watch it.

Yep, "meep" would be a better discription
Even if certain parts of the egr have been...say... disconnected .....I mean hypothetically of course.

Mine talks all of the time.
I call it a meep too.
Sorry, I forgot and slammed the door within the first few seconds of this video so don't turn up your volume right away.
A relay turns on at 0:30 and a new noise begins in addition to the meep.
This is key on, no start.
