Mine was doing it before and after changing to Rotella T6, before and after replacing both fuel filters, before and after trying fuel from different stations. Other than frequent regens, the engine stumbles, it clatters and will not accelerate for a good 30 seconds. It has nearly got me in trouble on the freeway. The dealer did not find anything but did ask me to bring it back for a day long service. I hope something shows up because I might be trading in a truck with only 4600 miles.

I hate to say it, but the stumbling, frequent regens and loss of power that I have experienced along with the symptoms a few others seem to have is starting to sound a lot like EGR issues. I didn't think about it at first, but the stumbling/power issue really is reminiscent of my 6.0 EGR valve clogging days. I didn't think of it until I read an update on SGT93s turbo failure thread stating that his EGR valve had been faulty as well.

The only thing I can't control is fuel.
Even though I use the same station and pump, I can't control the station.
Except for factory oil, I've used the same oil.

It's as if a dip switch was flipped in my truck to make it run crappy.

X 20 for me as well, 2011 350 SBCC has regened more frequently since Nox recall. Did one with the 5th wheel on back after towing a 100 miles. Truck is definitely not as strong as before under load of trailer. Same hill it went up with power to spare in 4th now needs to be pinned and don't let it decay to say 50 mph or it wont accelerate. It was perfect before.

the regen must only last a certain number of minutes (10) lately it has been stopping at between 1.5-1.6 even tho i am still driving on the highway then takes about 60 or so miles to reach 2.7 and starts another regen

Best AR I've had since the flash. Was good to see 1.2x again.

EDIT: I guess I had 1.14 per my first post. Haven't seen this low since though.

Going on memory, I've lost track.

I noticed I said I was at 1.14 on my first post but this 1.21 is the lowest since then (but well after the flash).

I've noticed on mine that after regen stops (soot approx 1.3) and if I'm on the highway and if EGT4 is still high (around 12-1300F) the soot level will continue to drop. Apparently the high exhaust temps are still burning soot. It soon levels off and starts to climb again. Just an observation and a fettish for watching the guages on the Insight.

NOx recall......TSB flashes???? How are you guys finding out about this stuff. I have a 2011 F-250 that I have never recieved one call from my dealership about any of this

Anyway I will joint the party. I have had NONE of the above things done and my truck regens 109-150 miles. I do daily drive it and most trips are around 30 miles. I have noticed that what kills me is EGT's not getting up there. So when I first leave the house trying to get to the interstate my soot climbs like rocket but once I get on the highway it levels and rises slowly then once I am back in the city it shoots up. I get it pretty regular but have never heard of anything being done about it so I have not brought it to the dealership.

There is no way Ford does not know about this so the fact that there is no fix yet to me either means they can't fix it or they don't think it is a big enough issue worry about fixing.............especially if they can lean back on the bad fuel excuse.

Hopefully you at least have the 10B17 update (aka 400hp).
There have been a number of fixes since related to the transmission.

For the NOx fix, I received a letter from my local dealer and FoMoCo.
I waited awhile before I had that installed.
I already forgot if they did that fix at the same time they replaced the bad shift solenoids in my transmission...STML I guess.
(short term memory loss)

Yes it had the 400hp before I bought it or at least it was advertised as such. However I have never heard a word in regards to ANY recalls or updates.

If your gear display remains active between starts, you have the 400/800.
This was the first letter I received in 2010 and was classed under customer improvement or something like that.

The NOx fix is the only recall (if you want to call it that) that I'm aware of.
This is where I received two notifications.

Most of the other fixes were for those of us who had misbehaving transmissions.
It took Ford awhile to get the issues worked out (almost two years actually).
If yours is flawless, no need fixing something that isn't broken.
The current NOx fix does have an expiration but I think it's sometime next year.

First off, i have had an Edge Insight since I bought the truck, so i've been able to watch the regen process.

I'm not sure that I can really complain after the TSB. Sure, the regens don't bring the soot count down to the old levels, but really, the level would climb from 1.15 to 1.45 in no time. Also, it seems that I'm able to start a passive regen much easier than I could before. If I just lay into the pedal a couple of times, getting the exhaust temps into the 650 to 700 range, a passive regen will start that brings the count down quite a bit. Heck, if I drive at 75 to 80 MPH I can go hundreds of miles without an active regen. In addition, the mileage during a regen is much better than it was prior to the TSB. Mine used to fall to 12 or 13 MPG, now it's around 16 MPG.

Again, so far I'm not complaining. Regens aren't noticeable performance wise, and mileage is barely affected.
