1st off i HAVE looked in the tech folder and i cannot seem to read the diagrams good enough to tell me what i need to know.
I have a set of up fitter switches and the plug that goes into to rear of the switches along with about 8 inches of the 7 small wires coming off of it. i am going to build my own relay system for it due to the fact i got the switches for free and ford wants 100$ for the harness. and this way I'm not limited to the amp ratings. the wire colors are as follows
Tan/purple
Purple/yellow
purple/green
grey/red
grey/orange
blue/red
BLACK
I think i have found out what some of the wires are for but this is where i need help.
tan/purple is power coming in
purple/yellow is switch #1
purple/green is switch #2
grey/red is switch #3
grey/orange is switch #4
i don't know what the blue/red is for maybe power for the indicators???
and I'm pretty sure the black is ground.
can anyone confirm or deny my thoughts? maybe y'all can read into the tech diagram better than i could. I would appreciate any help. THANKS AGAIN

The diagram I'm looking at agrees with what your saying. Though your power supply wire should be white/with purple (viloet) trace...minor detail.

Blue/Red is supposed to be for the "Main Light Switch"...so I'm not certain where/what that is.
#1 should be Orange/Light Green trace
#2 is solid Orange
#3 is Orange with Yellow trace
#4 is Orange with Light Blue
The wires for #1 and #2 are a heavier gauge than #3 and #4.

I believe your correct, you could use a DVM (digital volt meter) and double check it with a known ground. There are two under the steering column for the fuse box and relays.

You have to look closely...but the wire colors are listed next to the wires. It took me almost 45 minutes to read through the diagram and make sure we were on the same page together when I sent my first reply.
OG/RD is Orange with red trace (stripe)
GY/RD = Gray with red trace
VT/LG = Violet (purple) with light green trace
...and the list goes on and on. Hope this helps you figure it out.
