I have a light switch from a 60's ford pickup that I am trying to wire up correctly, but from the few wiring diagrams I have found online none of the colors match up. These are the wires coming out of the switch:
-blk/orange
-blk/yellow
-green/yellow
-brown
-red/yellow
-green/red
-blk/blue
Anyone got a wiring diagram or could tell where any of these wires could possibly go? If it helps the part # on the switch is D3ZB-11654-AA. Thanks in adavance
Sounds close to what I had on my 64. I'm guessing your talking about the turn signal wires that come from the column. I don't have my book with me right now but If I recall the black blue is the horn. Hang tight and someone will probably be able to e-mail you the diagram.
Actually this is off the light switch itself. I was a bit amazed when I pulled it out of the junkyard to see it had 7 wires coming off it, but guess it has a dimmer setup on it. I would gander a guess that it is a 65 or 66 maybe?
The diagram for my 66 shows:
Black/yellow -front park lights
Black/blue -interior light
Red - to fuse box
Brown - tail lights, licence plate light
Red/yellow - dimmer switch
Blue/red - to fuse box
I'm rewiring my '65 F100 with an 18 ckt. wiring harness and my light switch looks just like CaptCrunch.
I can figure out where all of the wires go except theb "Yellow/Green".
Does anyone know where this wire goes?
The light switch has given me the most trouble on try to rewire my truck.
