Climate Control not energizing

Hello all,
I have noticed as of late that when i turn my truck off, and then come back to it several hours, or days latter the climate control - auto power led light is on but the climate control display screen is not on. The ac will not work untill i hit the auto button and adjust the temp as if it lost power completely - prior to turing the vehicle off, also It does not remember my climate temp settings that were adjusted prior to exiting the vehicle. Anyone with any info on why this is acting this way? It is completely random - sometimes it works ok, sometimes it acts like descibed above.

I had a similar problem in my 2006 F-350 KR. It was a random thing, but happened about once a week during the summer.

If I turned the lights on, the A/C would come on and work properly for a couple of days until it decided to act up again.

I never did figure out the connection between lights and A/C, but it worked.

From what I have learned over the last few years is that everything has a module controlling it. So, it's likely that the climate control module has a short memory span, a small battery to remember last known settings. It probably just expires when it sits for a week. Don't know for a fact though, just a guess.

It also does it when it sits for a few hours - no idea why - maybe some of the others might be able to chime in here.
