P246E

I had a ford technician plug in and check my CEL. Says P246E, Bank 1 sensor 4, exhaust system fault. Im leavin for holidays in a couple of days but dealer to busy before I leave. Is this something that will leave a guy stranded on the side of the road? I've already been towed once...

What did the dealer suggest when he pulled the code?

I would probably have it looked at during my vacation when I don't need the truck. Or, buy a unit like the insight so I could clear the code if I got stranded.

Clearing the code will not solve the basic problem. Ask the dealer the consequences of driving with a real problem. It could be a sensor problem, but you don't know. I would be careful about driving the truck with a real problem.

The tech had told me a most likely a sensor replacement but no comment on whether a guy could continue on his way without consequence.
I was just wondering if anyone had driven any length of time with the same, thanks for the replies
