Emergency Flashers

Emergency Flashers
When I pull the tab on the steering column my emergency flashers do not work. When I press the brake of course they light up. Is there a relay gone bad and do I have to pull the steering wheel to get to it?? My turn signals work just fine its just when I pull the tab.

The emergency flashers have a flasher of their own. They don't operate off of the turn signal flasher.
The turn signal flasher will have two wires, orange and blue w/ yellow trace. The emergency flasher will have three wires, red, red w/ white trace and white w/ red trace going to it. The emergency flasher should be under the dash, to the left of the steering column.
