16 available NOS from 12 FoMoCo Dealers / 2 available from 2 obsolete parts vendors. And, 1967/72 & 1973/79: There are two different types. With or without the 3rd steady rest arm. 3rd steady rests have longer arms, so the mirror sticks out well past the cab.
Without the 3rd arms, the mirrors are "Swing-Loks" .. Push the mirror forward, then pull it back, it will lock into position.
The mirror head (C7TZ-17723-A) is the same for all. Genuine Ford: Has three vertical embossed lines, with the center line shorter than the other two.
Is the "Swing-Lok" Western for 1973/79 the same as the "Type 2" shown in the attached diagram? If so, do you know its part number and availability? I am interested in getting a set of these for my 1976 F150, and prefer to get the genuine Ford product. Some seem to refer to these as "West Coast Junior Camper" mirrors?
I am learning a lot about mirrors, but there is a lot to learn! I would like to get some good mirrors on my truck soon - it currently only has only one car style mirror on the driver's side and no other holes or outside mirrors.
Thank you, in advance, for any help!
