we dont have cam sensor problems very often. I think I have done 2 maybe 3 sence 2003.
but to replace it is stright foward its sits behind the p/s pump and easy to access from the bottom.

Thank you i will do it as soon as it gets here lol
And i know it is bad because i hooked it up to a comp and that was one of the codes and when i reved it up the rps fluctuated like a misfire cause by the cam sensor being bad, also this is the first sensor been changed in this truck sense 03 so yeah i think it is time anyways

Nah never stalls just sluggish with a misfire when i try to get going. and also no the Factory dash gauge does not fluctuate but you can see on the computer the RPM's jump around when it should stay up, also when you rev up and let of the throttle the truck should go straight back to idle fairly quick but mine takes forever
ya your probably right bad Cam sensor
if you get Board and have a dvm you can try this
If you want to verify those circuits, you can connect a DVOM to both the CKP and CMP circuits of the middle PCM connector. Set your DVOM to Hz. On the CKP circuit, you should be seeing 150 to 200 Hz when the engine is cranked over (directly proportional to 150 to 200 RPMs). On the CMP circuit you should get a reading of 1.1 to 1.9 Hz when the engine is cranked over.

Are you changing the entire main engine wiring harness? If so, that usually sounds like the fix.
Sorry not meaning to hijack the thread but my 04 6.0 will not run.
Saw this thread while searching. What numbers should the CMP be when cranking. I have a SG2 and it reads 9999 for CMP. Been running terrible and today it will not start.
Thanks, I will start a new thread once I have more information.
