Has anyone used the Derale transmission pan coolers. I am looking for something enexpesive that give me a hole to put a temp sender and it holds 7 extra quarts of fluid.
It's on the drivers side just above where the pan is bolted on. You may need to push a wiring harness to the side to see it. As far as I know that port is the most accurate place to be reading trans temps.
Just about everyone here will say Isspro gauges but I have Sunpro gauges boost, egt, trans temp. They are under 200. They have been in for a little two years and no problems
More fluid is just more fluid to have to cool, get yourself a 6.0 cooler, thats all the cooling you need, but since I have a '99,I have been thinking about getting a radiator with a trans cooler in it for times that I'm in stop and go traffic...
I have an aftermarket cooler in the truck already. It is not as big as the 6.0 cooler but it was put in when I got my trailer brakes in 2000. Thanks for the help guys!
