4 speed trans
on my 74 f100 2 wheel drive 360 motor
yesterday was driving had it up around 60 mph
where the shifter was i heard somethen rattle kind lould.
let truck sit and didn't do it right away. got down road aways agian
it started doing it again.
took it to shop today they went around block said they could not find anything wrong.
but they did not going over 50 mph. maybe they only went 25 mph.
also he put truck up in air looked under it said he could not find anything wrong.
and. had made a right had turn. and one tires felt like it was locking up.
not 4x4
does it sounds like trans going out ?
i just had clutch replaced last month.
i knew he told me on clutch they had turn it to much on fly wheel
he had welded a bolt longer so he could tighting the clutch.

Sounds like the guy didn't do the clutch correctly. A little bit of wear uncovered a problem. Why would you weld a bolt longer instead of spending 70 cents and buy a longer bolt?? Sounds like the guy did something shady in there.
