Tips!!!
If your gonan spend alot get some Trick Flow heads A good header with dual outlets a good cam (i wonder how a drag cam would do for a daily driver) Dual 4 bbl intake flat top racing pistons billit rods and a new crank and straight pipes.....
Or the reasonable build
Find ya a old head off a pre 1970 300 six or 240 six Milled Port and polished Bore it over 30 thosands get a 4bbl instake and a 390 cfm carb get a pair of efi exhaust man.
I myself am gonna try to do teh bottom build iwthout the boring out.
Either an Offenhouser or Clifford intake will work for your application, and the prefered carb of choice in 4bbl's is the Holley 390. In 2bbls, you have a choice of either a 350 cfm stock motorcraft/autolite, or a 2bbl made by Holley/Edelbrock.
As for camming, i'm not sure, but something around the 270-ish range should be a good place to start and really make that big six come alive.
Headers are available, either Hedman's or Pacesetters, there may be a few more manufacturers, but i'm not aware of them.
Also another alternative for starting out your exhaust system is to use the stock EFI manifolds, as they flow almost as well as a header, and can be found usually very much cheaper than headers.
As for building a stroker out of it, (bigger crank.) i think Clifford Performance used to offer a stroker crank for the big six that punched it out to 330 cubes, but i've yet to see one of these myself, nor know of anyone else who makes one.
