We were down the hill, in Nevada at a casino this evening. Got home and can smell the Sierra rain. Everything is damp. Must have really dumped. There is also a fire up on the pass so it must have been a strong thunderstorm. Love this time of year. It's nice and cool this evening, prolly 70 or so.
Ugh, another Monday. And I was having so much fun enjoying the weekend. Oh well, there will be another weekend coming up shortly. If you can call 5 days shortly LOL.
Good afternoon everybody. We made it back from HAN realitively unscathed. I scored some nice chrome hooks for the truck and the Champion Spark Plug rep gave me an 8' poster. :-) The cars and trucks were nice, but the weather was definately hot after 10:30AM. We really liked the buffet at the El Dorado. $10.99 is a lot better than the $13.00 they wanted for a sandwich, fries and a soda out on the street. Jag
Loved it!!!! I won again last week in our fantasy league Sitting atop the standings. I DO root for Fords ya know but Tony will always be my favorite driver no matter what hes driving.

Need help on a engine build, thinking about a351 stroker maybe 408.found a 1985 351 blocks been machined to 30 over, factory heads had big valves put in. My question is will these heads work?
Hello NorCal FTE! had a busy day today, and finally get to sit home and relax. (with the AC on of course!) Hope everyone had a good day, and was able to stay indoors.
Shinyrock, welcome to FTE! This is the place for Ford truck information. As for your question, if I understand it correctly, you are wanting to know if the factory heads with big valves will work on an 1985 351 engine? If so, and the heads are from a 351 Windsor then yes, they will work.
Hey Nighteyes, I'm thinking about using somewhere around a 5.20- 5.50 lift cam. Thats my concern, I'm not sure what kind of piston to use.I would like to use a flat top, do you think I would have to cut the eyebrows for valve clearance. You did see I wanted to stroke the 351 to 408. Just not sure if I should buy the block and heads Im looking at. This guy would'nt sell just the block, so, that was why I was asking about these heads. I'm a little green at strokers so any advice you have is needed. thanks
