Pop's Performance shorties
I was excited when I saw cast iron shorty headers for the 427 on Pop's website. www.popsperformance.com. These seem as if they would be a good exhaust manifold for my 65 Mercury with 390. Alas on trying to call the number he gives as contact info it is disconnected. I have done some reading on different forums and it seems some people have had trouble with Pop's in the past. Have any of you guys ever had any dealings with Pop's? Have any of you ever seen a set of these cast iron shorties? They seem as if they would be a good product if they were available. Dave.

I hate to be a rain maker, but I thouht you should know before you buy them, they aren't a perfect fit. If I remember right, you have to notch the frame on one side to make it work.
Also, I'm not sure if things are better now or not, but there were quite a few guys having issues with pop's performance. Do a search about pop's on this forum: 332-428 Ford FE Engine Forum
