Driverside Rear Caliper Replacement
Good Evening Everyone!,
Im Fixing to change my driverside rear caliper, and im wondering what to expect and maybe a general idea on how to replace it. Any Help, advice and hints would be great, thanks in advance

In my experience, I always found it's best to also replace the brake line while you are doing the caliper; and do a full system flush.
This is based on my experience with other vehicles though - haven't touched the brakes on my Superduty yet.

I replaced all four of mine this summer. Purchase a rebuilt unit that includes the caliper bracket also. Many times the slider pins are frozen in the bracket. The removal is pretty straight forward. Two bolts to remove the caliper and two bolts to remove the caliper bracket. The parking brake shoes apply inside the rotor. The inside of the rotor is basically a drum. If your parking brake works properly all they need is a cleaning with some brake cleaner. When you get it all back together, now is a good time to flush the brake fluid in the entire system.

If one rear caliper needs replacing, it is probably prudent to replace both of them. That is what I did anyway.
It is also a good idea to replace the caliper slide pins. The new calipers I purchased (NAPA) came with new pins.
