Anyone give me steps to replace brake caliper on right rear of 04 f250....Had left rear done one year ago and now right is stuck with newish pads on it. is all I have to worry about crimping brake fluid line and then use brake pad change thread?????
how do I get seized caliper off???
I have a heated shop so I am not worried about fixing it just want to make sure I do it right...
How much for new caliper???

I never crimp a brake hose, can wreck them.
Pull the mounting bolts of the old caliper, then pull it off, or pry if it is stuck. Then hang it out of the way. Don't let it hang though, tie it up. Then install the new caliper and pull the hose off and put it right on. Then you need to bleed the new caliper out. You should also bleed out the other side some too.

What you really should have done is to replace both calipers at the same time. Hell, if the caliper is not that bad, you could have either done a rebuild or tried to lubricate the caliper slide pins. You can crimp the rubber hose VERY LIGHTLY with a pair of vice grips so you don't have fluid running everywhere. Bleed both sides after install, you will find this produces better brake pedal feel depending on how old your fluid is.
