Electric Pump Woes

So i got the Epump installed and i still find myself out in front of the truck with my screw driver bleeding off the air in the fuel filter, then still a decent bit of cranking.

I thought this is the reason why i installed the pump in the first place so I dont have to get in and out of the truck to get the thing started!!!!

And then its still struggling to start once It gets fuel up to the filter.

if your getting air with an e-pump pulling up in the engine bay, then you have a leak from tank to pump.finding it will be the tricky part.it could be a rusted out pickup tube on the sending unit,a line going to the FSV,the FSV itself,or the delivery line from the FSV to the e-pump.look around all the clips where the line is held to the frame.those are common rusted out sections because crap can get stuck in there and then cause pinholes.broken record again i know but, when i first got my truck i ditched all those lines and replaced them,as it was only a matter of time they started to rust out anyway due to it being a 15+ yr old truck in the rest belt.brake lines got the same treatment.
