We're worried about heat soak. Hitting 1600* isn't going to hurt anything as long as you don't keep it there too long. A drag strip pass or sled pull is fine. I was in a mud bog awhile back and my egts were threw the roof but that's to be expected. When I pulled out the egts at an idol were at 700* it took about 4-5 mins of letting it run parked to get back down to 300*
I saw a diesel smoker tractor last weekend melt the exhaust fins in the turbo from a sled pull. He didn't get the head off yet so I don't know if the engine is ok, but the turbo is impressive.

Lots of water injection can keep the intake temps down enough to where that can happen, but in a normal set up its not possable.

Just search on youtube powerstroke turbo jet...
Joe, where did you get your water, meth injection from. Can you post the site. Also did they supply the 9 gallon tank. And do you just use water or both? I know some people say just the water is enough but I couldn't see how it would help in power. Thanks,
Run water injection to cool the fire... Run fuel to fuel the fire...
If you want more power, look elsewhere. While you gain some power with water/meth injection your much better off to run more fuel.
Thanks Joe, it is to just cool the fire while towing. My boy needs this in his 6.0 also. He pulls way bigger then me. Okay after looking what kit do you recommend? Its for towing heavy, and I'm going to have 200/80 sticks soon. Thanks
