I have an 01 v10 with 6.5 inch lift and 37 inch tires. I am looking to buy a 19 foot boat to tow with it and need to know how long of a drop hitch I need. Im thinking a 10 inch that should put me abou 18 inches from the ground. Does this sound about right. This will be my first time towing with this truck. Any input would be appriciated. Thanks.
I recommend getting a tape measure and verifying it yourself. With all the variation on actual lift kits actual lift amount and the actual tire measurements etc. we would be guessing. Only you have the truck and can verify what you need.
Measure from the receiver hitch to the ground,
Then measure the boat trailer (make sure the boat trailer is level) and see what the boats hitch height is from the ground.
Subtract the difference and you have how much of a drop hitch you need.
