New turbo Install

Just finished installing my new turbo yesterday. The old turbo was lagging and i found the ebpv stuck closed! I was doing a lot of looking around on the net and finally decided to go with a turbo on eBay. Great price and well worth it. Truck is 1000 times better, like new!! Great turbo at a great price, and not a bad r&r job for a rainy day.

Why didn't you get a turbo rebuild kit for $100.0 and rebuld yours yourself?

Also, the EBPV is not operated by the turbo.

Wow, a little research goes a long way. Sorry Robbie, you just wasted a lot of money. Glad you're at least happy with the results.

If I was going to replace it I would've gone with a 38R.

Too much money to put a 38r on a work truck. The butterfly was stuck on the exhaust outlet, didn't want to rebuild, as it was done once already. Thanks for your input, just trying to help someone who is looking for a good turbo at a fair price.

Don't let it discourage you from sharing. For future reference you can rebuild turbos for ~$100 but that won't come with their 2 year warranty so I suppose that's a plus for you.
