hi I got an 2001 f250 4x4, I have a question for you guys, what are
you guys running for your big tires? because I have aftermarket
rims running 285/75R20s and in order for it not to rub on the leafes
I had to put spacers in, 2" spacers. now I know most people are not running
spacers with big tires, I want to get rid of the spacers but don't want
it to rub, I also want to put 35"s on, what do I have to do to get rid
of the rubbing issue? I know my front end is sagging a little because I dont
think it's sitting right. do you guys have any sugestions for my issue?
I would lose the spacers and get appropriately sized rims with an offset. I have a leveling kit on X-code springs and my 315-75-16's clear the metal fenders/bumper, but they rub the plastic at 3/4-full lock. Nothing that bothers me tho. Best bet is a 4-6" lift.
You likely need different wheels. Factory wheels have something like 4.25" backspacing. Some aftermarket and 2005 and up wheels have right around 5"backspacing, which it sounds like you have now. Either going to need different wheels or keep the spacers.
