Hey there! Just getting back into the truck game, picked up my Uncles old 80 f150 straight six. Haven't had a good old truck to tinker with for a while, 14 years actually when my 76' F150 died on a trip and I had a young cousin " fix " it for me and actually cracked the block, and made it cost prohibitive to do so due to the other damage that ensued in his tinkering. I have a herd of kids and luckily my kids take Mommas genes and like to work on trucks. So this is the beginning foray into an adventures with young teenagers actually learning how to fix up a vehical, they have had plenty of practice keeping Moms suburban going. Luckily several of them are mechanically inclined and like to tinker so we are seeing this as an adventure as they dream of making this truck their own, but Mom and Dad love the truck already. We got it with the Oh replace the caliper and it is good to go and we are now are down springs on the rear brakes and power brake booster to new brakes LOL. Then we will see how well it drives.
But anyways been reading the forums for a while now and thought I would jon and post. You guys have triggered alot of stuff I forgot years ago and I am sure I will be pestering with questions along the way.. Hope to get to know you all.. Hope your weekend is good I am waiting on springs to finish the rear brakes and I will be checking out your posts!
