Hi everyone, so recently I've been running into a lot of filter problems where I have to change them out every month or sooner which to me and most of you is excessive and a lot of money wasted. What would be my best bet to solve this I already plan to clean my tanks, what else? I know it doesn't help that I'm running WVO but even when i don't run on that I'm still clogging filters way to often!

My guess would be you have algae growing in your tank. Get some biocide. I recommend Killem.
I forgot to put that in the post I have done that multiple times and it barley works!
What do you mean by that? You should expect to continue clogging filters for a time after doing a Killem treatment, because all the dead stuff is going to get caught in your filter (and probably even more so than when the stuff was alive).
Keep changing your filters, keep treating each tank with Killem, and I bet the problem goes away after a few fillups.
I already have inline filters in and when I notice the truck is bogging down power wise I biocide it on a full tank of diesel, let it sit for 8 hours, then drive it until I throw a filter light and then let it idle in my driveway until I empty the tank
when i was running w85 "wmo/20%rug" i found some settling issues which would create some filter restriction.so when running wmo i would batch mix and fill the tank then run it all out till tank was empty. if i filled the tank and ran a little then left it for a few days before running out the rest it would separate in the tank causing issues aka clogging /sluggy filters. drop your tank and thoroughly clean it .i don't think a additive will cure your issue but a additive will prevent issues if used regularly.
Maybe NMB2 will chime in here, he has a sweet filter and water separator setup. I plan on doing something similar on my truck, completely eliminating the factory units.
You could also try a filter in the rubber line to the fuel pump as mentioned before, like the generic kind intended for lawnmowers and stuff. That would be really cheap and easy.
Are there any cheaper aftermarket filter systems that I could mount on my frame or something that would help solve this
Yes, lots of them just google fuel filter base or wix fuel filter base. Ask what they have and how much the filter is that goes on it. Since you are looking for cheaper filter that what you want to base your search on. You can get a base for $20-30. I would find one with a large filter or very cheap replacements.
Next time you use all the fuel in the tank, drop it and clean it out. Start spraying all the nuts & bolts on the straps with PB Blaster now. It'll take no time at all to drop it, clean it and reinstall it. You're just wasting money replacing filters the way you are and it will only continue until you eliminate the source.
That's what I'm thinking. When I cleaned my WVO tank I used oven cleaner spray let it soak overnight and all the garbage peeled right off then hosed it out and let it completely air dry and I'm thinking that's what I'll do for my diesel tanks
