fuel filter
Wow didnt realize how many different fuel filters there would be ahah. I'm planning on running a tank of E85 through my 99 3.0 FFV. I've been told its good to run that through before you change fuel filters because it cleans out all the gunk in your engine, gas lines, tank, etc... so, which fuel filter do you guys recommend? I'm sure its a lot of just opinions but I wanna hear what you have to say about it

I use the Motorcraft one...it's twice the price of the Wix ones at O'Reilly's...but I'm happy knowing I have a MC one on there, and it's not too bad at $12 a year.
And yes...swap the filter once the tank of E85 runs down...it'll clean it out pretty well.

I would agree, The extra money for the Motorcraft filter is worth the peace of mind. I think the cheap ones are probably ok, but I know the Motorcraft one will work as good as the one my truck left the factory with.
