I have this question in the drive line forum as well, I'm hoping it will get more response here.
My truck (302,M5R2,BW1356) started making a strange noise today. While decelerating, or pretty much any time the motor is not under a load, there is a noise coming from the transmission. It does it with the clutch pressed or not, in gear or out. It pretty much does it anytime the engine isn't working. Any ideas on what to look at? Could it be bearings chattering?
