While you pick up a few additional features as you pay more bucks, the software that drives the controllers is darn similar. I haven't used any high end products I was not satisfied with in terms of smooth stops. I tend to favor ones that offer more in the way of diagnostic features and I like to push a button to set how much boost you get when the controller comes on line for heavier loads.
Everyone has a favorite because the newer controllers from about everyone really are that good, in my opinion. You just don't feel them doing their thing!
Nothing wrong with my Tekonsha Voyager, kinda old school/new school mixed
I'll bet alot of folks here have never seen the OLD OLD controllers that you had to plumb into the brake line....lol

Seen one, heck I used one! Worked fine. Voyager is just a solid basic controller. I bet if we took all the favorites and installed em in the same truck and blindfolded us, we could never tell which controller was doing the stopping. Probably could name it something like "lame science" or some such.
Tekonsha Voyager was my old one. It died. It was time i guess. I took it apart (like i do everything to see what makes it tick) and the circuit board was fried.
