Light in steering wheel

I am sure this will get a lot of laughs.... I have a 01 limited excursion and just replaced the steering wheel. On the way home, turned on the lights and the cruise control switch on the left side of steering wheel lit up... I am the only owner of this vehicle and it has NEVER come on before. Is the other side supposed to have a light as well?.

I don't have pictures of that style, but yes, you should have lights on both sides.

I'm glad I read this. I'm not sure I have any lights at all in my 05. Better check it out....
