Already my first question which will show my ignorance (haven't even gotten a chilton book yet) I noticed when I got the truck yesterday that there was a smell of gas and just thought that the carb just needed an adjustment. After looking at it more closely gas seems to be leaking out of the front of the carb.
I cant attach any pics yet, but if you look at my album "My1969 F100" you will see a pic of the carb and hopefully notice the front (by the screws) is wet with gas. any procedural steps to diagnose this? Is it that the screws might just be loose?
I feel empowered!!! It wasn't the screws on the carb it was a bolt that was from the fuel line to the carb that was loose. It may not sound like rocket science to you guys but for me it was an accomplishment!!!! LOL
