Gas Pouring out the top of the Carb?

I just rebuilt my Motorcraft 2 Barrel Carb and I was just trying to start the truck for the first time since I rebuilt it. The Gas started pouring out the top two Openings on the top plate of the carb (Not a Lot but enought to be concerning). The two openings on both ends of the Butterfly is where the gas was coming out. I have a sneaking suspition that the float level is wrong or possibly sticking. Does this sound like the problem or has anyone seen this before? Here is a picture of the top of the carb. For the Number guys this carb is on a 74 360FE engine. Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, you called it. The float is either stuck on out of adjustment.
