KOER diagnostics
Does anyone know if I can run a Key On Engine Running diagnostic on a 1987 Ranger 2.9 without a scanner? I know you can do a KOEO self test using the "check engine" light but don't know about the KOER.

An 87 Ranger is not equipped with a check engine light.Scanners are so cheap, why not just buy one??? An equus 3145 is about 24 bucks. It reads & displays codes. No need to count flashes like on my Actron scanner.
