Nope, a well made Y-pipe and single will always make more power. This is even more true on a V-8 cause the pulses left to right aren't even. It goes right left right rightleft left right left, those 2 sets of pulses from each side need to be merged together. On a 300 there could be an advantage to keeping them seperate only if short with no muffler at high rpm but duals all the way to the back is a bad idea unless you really like that tractor sound.

Sorry disagree with ya on that one to. What matters is pulses per time. So yes a 6 has fewer then a 8 at a given RPM. What a 6 will never have is those uneven pulses I mentioned before, which I consider a good thing. But at high RPM those all smooth out and blend together and a 6 at 4000RPM will sound like an 8 at 3000RPM
I was just wondering what a good set would be that i could do at home, where i wouldnt be alot of money in case i didnt like it. That is the reason i was asking about a thrush turbo. I had what the guy called a mellow tone and said it was a off brand of flowmaster. but i cant find that brand. it sound really good it was 3in inlet 2 2.5 out. But i took it off due it being to start to get rust holes. I couldnt find that brand so i went with glass packs. and know i want that sound back. Just cant afford a 300 dollar muffler bill right now
Summit sells knock off turbo and straight through mufflers for pretty cheap. I think they have a stainless Magnaflow knock off for ~$40 a pop. I really like the way Magnaflows sound but can't vouch for Summit's.
