Question Good Muffler

I know how much stock exhausts suck, and I want my truck to sound good, like its supposed to. BUT I dont want it to be so loud that it rattles the cab and breaks the sound barrier when I hit the gas. Anyone else like that? I want a nice, mid to deep rumble. Does anyone have any suggestions, I dont want to spent alot of money. Also, I saw a turbo muffler at our local Auto Zone, anyone have any experience with that?

Turbo mufflers have a nice sound to them... but they aren't the most free flowing of aftermarket mufflers. Dynomax & Magnaflow mufflers have a good tone to them also. And so long as you keep your cats you shouldn't have a problem with being too loud.

Thanks for the help. The muffler I saw was a Flowtech Raptor at advance auto. Anyone have experience with one of those?

A flowmaster 50 ss is peobably what you want. It has the same performance as the 40 ss but a good deal quieter. Thats probably not even a word but you get it.

Gibson is also a good system that sounds pretty good with out being loud and on my Ranger, performs very well.
