"Ive got a fourth quart, and Im going to put it in......cause I can......"
Great vid!
Worst case scenario is I get more dirty fluid out.
All of the ATF that was removed during this video was then combined with about 2 oil changes worth of oil and given to a local guy for use in his WMO powered E250 7.3L.
so hypothetically speaking of course, If I had unknowingly put power steering fluid in mine can it still be flushed the same way just use the ATF until all if the psf is out? Or would I have to endure some other lengthy process as punishment for a rookiesque mistake. Whatever the case may be this has now hit the top of my list of things to do on wed when I'm off. Jeez, Makes me wonder what other stupid s#$t I've done since I got this thing.

Just flush it out like in the video Trey posted or the link I posted and you should be fine but I wont guarantee you wont have a problem later down the road. But I doubt it. Do you have a owners manual for your truck? Because every thing is in the manual on what to use and how much you will need. They changed the formula of Mercon V so it can be used with anything that calls for Mercon like our trucks or Mercon V.

I think you are probably okay. Even with a little left in the system it will be so diluted it wont matter. Since in this case the fluid in question is basically just being used as hydraulic fluid, you should be okay. If it was, for example, power steering fluid in the transmission, I would say you should be worried because there is more to it than hydraulics in a trans.
Definitely didn't get an owners manual with this truck, I'm lucky I got a title with it. I will flush it with ATF and see what happens. I am wondering if there will be any issues if I flush a non synthetic fluid out with a synthetic ATF? Anyone have an answer for that one?

Digital owner manuals are online for free (just Google it), or we can provide you with the "pile" of them. There's the Superduty manual, the 4X4 manual, then the diesel manual, etc....
