Ok made some ground today (sorta). Threw the holley back on started from scratch I guess. idle screws backed out 1 turn small adjustment on curb idle viola! Runs on it own! Now the bad!!! LMAO I cannot win motor died. checked fuel pressure nothing wth hell right? I blew out the lines and tried again nothing. then I disconnected hose at exit of elec pump. The pump was barely spitting any fuel out. I have two filters on vehicle one canister type between tanks and pump and the recommended one in the holley manual right before the carb.
Pump does sound a little funny so im going with it being bad. I might have cavitated it when I drained the tank last weekend. Sucks that as soon as I actually get it running it quits. Oh well I have to go to a NCO academy on sun so I guess this truck is going to have to wait 6 weeks for me to tinker with it again. Bummer.
gives me time to order stuff and not have to wait for parts to come. It will be here waiting for me when I get back. So I guess thats a plus.
