where is the best place to get a good quality dash pad for a 76 f100? mine is cracked and i would like to get a good one that looks factory....anybody got any good ideas?
I got one off Ebay for like $120, in great shape. A month later I was in a JY in Mobile AL and saw a '78 Bronco, it was pretty well picked over and in rough shape but I checked it out and amazingly, the dash pad was in great shape. If I had had the right tools and it hadnt been 98 degrees in the shade I would have gotten it. They can be dyed to match your interior. If I have it to do over I will get Crsweet to recover it, his are awesome looking.
Local guy was parting out a '79 lwb and I was getting the plastic splash guards off it ('76 and before didnt come with them and they are pricey, if you ever see a set, grab them) and a few other odds and ends and the dash in it had a molded to fit plastic cap. I thought it was the factory dash pad and remarked how good of shape it was in until the owner pointed out it was a cap. I think LMC sells these, maybe another option for you.
