they are new units with ALL top of the Line Parts inside and no core to send either so if you can afford it DC Power the way to go
Make shure you clean all Battery cables
Even follow the grounds off the Batterys to where they Mount on the frame and engine block
You might have a Ground issue with all those Alternators Dying Plus if you are getting the alts from a Parts ***** (Chain Store) those have a very high fail rate
it sounds like an old International truck fixed fan, very loud. If this is found to be what you are describing, we need a history on the engine, fixes and repairs.

Well thats what I thought
There great about the warrenty but the problem is everytime an alternator Dies it puts the HURT on the FICM it stresses the FICM this is why yours is dying now the FICM
Thats why DC Power is what most here go with they last along time and dont have to work hard to keep up like your autozone alt does Now the OEM 110amp can barley keep up at Idel when it does work right
IMO these AutoZone alternators will keep Dying and Killing the FICM off and injectors to
Alternator isnt something you want to gamble with on these trucks or go cheap on either
FYI everytime an Alternator goes BAD it puts stress on the FICM and sooner or later one of these BAD Alts is going to Take the FICM with it
I run an Oreilys Alternator in my car and at least 1 time a year I have to change it No Big Deal Down to about 10 minutes to change Its OK for that car since No FICM and stuff like that to Take out with the CAR

mines studded and its 2 steps up from the atlas 40! and next time my alternator goes out im getting the whole thing rewired. its getting old. but i need new ball joints, brakes, and tires before i can drop that amount of coin on an alternator
