heck man, weve towed 10,000lbs with our ranger... slower than grandmas wheelchair but it did it... id be comfortable in your case.
That's kinda crazy. I towed a car hauler trailer with probably a ton of firewood on it with my '88 Bronco II, but never exceeded 15 MPH (and only towed on level ground and for a few miles) and I could tell the brakes were beyond their limit. 10k lbs with a Ranger? Is that even legal?
probably not, but at the time we didnt have our big truck yet...
yea we had it in first gear with the pedal on the floor to climb the hills and it would barely do 15........ and we had to go 100 miles like that. up hill slow, down hill faster. when we finally got to where we were going it wouldnt move anymore, the tranny was puking fluid from everywhere and glowing red(no bull)......amazingly after we let it cool down and poured some fluid in it, it worked, and we havent ever had it apart. works good.
with all the times weve overloaded, overheateed and overtasked this little truck, it still keeps asking for more.
