Is there an x-gauge code for engine coolant temp for the ScanGauge II?
Engine coolant temp is one of the default gauges that comes hardwired into the device. Why would you need an x-gauge code?
My scangauge has been on a 2000 V10, a 2007 5.4L, a 2008 6.4L PSD, a 2011 6.7L PSD, a 2000 Ford Contour, a 2011 Toyota Sienna, and a 2005 Dodge Durango. The ECT gauge has worked great on all of them. Are you having problems with it?

Sorry, dumb question then. I'm in the process of hooking mine up for the first time and was looking at the list of x-gauges and didn't see it. Couldn't believe that it was not a measured perameter. Thanks for pointing out my ignorance.
No worries DieselVol, I'm happy to clear up the confusion. When you're on the gauge screen look for the "°F WT" gauge. This stands for degrees Fahrenheit water temperature.

What engine are you running? If you have a 7.3 with auto trans then the ECT is not a monitored sensor so it wont work. You may get a value displayed but be advised that the temp shown has no relation to the sensor at all.

Just got my feet wet! Programmed in transmission fluid temp (144f at idle). About to get engine oil temp. This is way cool! Unfortunately, now I know I've GOT to set up a fuel pressure gauge next. No rest for the confirmed modifier, I suppose.
Check out Isspro EV2 gauges for fuel pressure and EGT. You can get them to almost match black or white faced stock gauges, and if you only want 1 or 2 you can mount them in the dash bezel. I have fuel pressure in, and EGT waiting, both in the dash cover.

Thanks for those numbers, I was just about to search to see what I could find. While those gauges cut into the dash is a really cool idea, I think that
may be beyond my skill level.
It's a cake walk. Use a 2" hole saw from home depot and cut slowly, it comes out super clean. I felt nervous when i cut mine, but it was easier than hanging curtains for my wife. If you only put one in, one the right hand side all you need it the cut in the dash, you don't need to cut the sub-dash. Single gauge pods under the grab handle work great if you don't want to drill the holes, it's seriously a 2 put of 10 job if you plan it out.
PM me if you need any help on the specifics, i remember how nervous I was, but it's really an easy confidence building job when it's all over.

Thanks for that offer, I may just do it. I'm still trying to decide where and how to mount the ScanGauge II. The fuel pressure gauge is next.
If you go down to the 6.0L forum, a guy had a couple dozen SG mounts custom made and he might have a couple left, you can search up the thread on it. My brother velcroed his to the top of his steering wheel, I just have mine floating loose in the cup holder. If you drill a hole for the cable to pass through, you can velcro it above the 4x4 switch and under the vent.

Yeah, I bought one of his and just got it this week. Nice looking mount, but it does add bulk to the gauge. I can't seem to find a spot to put it that I can also reach from behind the dash to run the wires. I don't really want to pull the dash out ( particularly since I don't know how) but am warming up to the idea.
I had my basics going (EOT,ECT, TFT). Then I added GER, TRQ, and tried MAP. I could not get MAP to work as it would never register at zero with the key on and engine off, even after I added the code adjustment for the 14.8 that I got with engine running. Now my EOT won't work. Any idea as to why?

Reason: Error, ICP should be MAP
