so had a po301 code cylinder 6 misfire, replaced the plug, didnt solve anything. put in a older coil pack i had lying around problem solved. i think its time to change them out.
i want to change all the plugs and all the coil packs.
stay away from the cheapos, you get what you pay for
motorcraft coils are good, and your own vehicle confirms that they last a very long time, in your case, 13 years and 280 k miles. by the time the new ones are thinking about being worn out, you won't have a van left

it has aftermarket ones on it now. no name dark grey color just a B+ on the clip. i added a motorcraft to solve my problem.
im just thinking if one has failed i think another will soon. so why not replace them all.

Getting ready to do all 8 on my '01 Expedition with the 100k spark plug replacement. I agree with using Motorcraft and will do so. There is a ton of differing opinion on the issue and I don't doubt that many have had great experience with $10 COPs. I am also sure that as many have had bad experience.
I am under 70k miles on my '04 E350. When the time comes for the plug change, I'll go with Motorcraft COPs at the same time. I remember shopping on line and finding them WAY cheaper than what I paid locally for aftermarket ones needed in a pinch.
