I'm going to start ordering parts soon, timing chain etc for my 351W and does anyone know if my 86 351W H.O has the 2 piece eccentric or the 1 piece? if anyone could tell me when the 2 piece and 1 piece were used I'd appreciate it. Can't seem to find that info anywhere else.

I do not know this for a fact, but knowing the design they used on the eccentric, any engine that had a carb and mechanical fuel pump will have a 2 piece eccentric, any engine that was fuel injected and did not have a mechanical fuel pump will have a 1 piece unit(basically just used as a large washer for the bolt).
If you use the 1 once piece unit with a mechanical fuel pump, the eccentric will rub directly on the pump arm. This may or may not be a problem, but I don't think it would be a good thing.
That's why I try to mention to anyone converting a fuel injected engine to carb, if they change out the timing cover to use a mechanical pump, they need to change the eccentric also.
You will see what I am talking about once you get the parts in your hand and look at how they work.
Thanks and no problem lol, the reason why I needed to know which one I had is they make timing chains for the two different eccentrics and I want to get the right chain the first time lol.
