Flowmasters going quiet?
Hey guys,
So this is my first post here. I just purchased my second F-150, a 2007 FX2 5.4. When I bought the truck, it came with Flowmaster dual exhaust (split at a Y pipe from what I can see, I have not got all the way under the truck).
Since I bought the truck two weeks ago, the exhaust has been loud and throaty. Today I noticed that the exhaust seemed to be much more quiet than usual. I have heard that Flowmasters can accumulate carbon in the mufflers and quiet them down, but to me it seems as if this would be a more gradual quieting instead of a very noticeable change.
Has anyone experienced this before?
